SAFECLAW replaces rig tongs during changing of the drilling machines intermediate sub, IBOP, saver sub and dataswivel (WDP-ops)

Safeclaw is a mechanical tool to be placed directly into the rotary table, consisting of:

Clamping-cylinders.
Clamping-jaws w/dies from Powerjaws.
Hydraulic remote-control panel.

Safeclaw is quick to rig up by lifting it directly to the rotary table. The drilling machine will drive down and stop when the sub is linear with the clamping jaws. Clamps on and the drilling machine is ready to make/break. The operation with Safeclaw demands shorter operation time than rig tongs.

Safeclaw has been used on the Norwegian shelf since 2012 with great success on both NOV and MH drilling machines. Can be modified to fit other machines.
